Bio
This is a replacement to my original site which was lost due to me forgetting the password and orphaning the email account it's linked to. I really doubt that this journal will come up on anyone's search so it will probably be unlinked from anywhere or anyone because everyone I know moved over to myspace / facebook long ago. I will probably backdate this with old word copies of my old journal if possible.

But for those who manage to find this site and are curious, my name is Matt Johnson. I'm a guy from Texas and live in Seattle. Back in San Antonio I was really involved with Oak Hills Church. Here I'm kind of split between Overlake Community in Redmond and The City Curch in downtown Seattle. You could say that my faith is a big part of my life. The move from Texas to here was a pretty big event, on some days the adjustment has been easy and others much harder.

More than anything I enjoy trying new things and spending time with friends and loved ones, whether in person, on the phone or online. Communication and fellowship are some of the most important things in life.

My background - the past shapes who we are, but it's also behind us if we allow it to be. Here's where I could bore you with things I've done or look towards the interests section and live in the present. I'm not trying to hide anything because I'm pretty open with those I trust, it's just not important.

I've mostly been described as being open, honest and caring. Politically, I'm all over the place from Liberal to Libertarian. A little detail on that... about the environment and social isues I'm a liberal. Regardless of why there's global warming we really need a lot more conservation effort across the world, as well as alternative energy and transportation development. I really don't care who gets married to who - let the government recognize one form and the church another. Economically I'm conservative and believe private industry with the proper environmental and personal regulations can better provide for the people than the government. Jobs and hope for a better future, not handouts which lock people into their current situation. On civil liberties I'm neither conservative nor liberal; I believe in the rights of the individual and think that it's not the government's place to burden the people with excessive legislation.
